Wondering what drives change in the retail industry and what changes might impact your retail operation? Join the Minnesota Retailers Association for our 2015 Annual Meeting featuring The Center For Retailing Excellence Co-Director and University of St. Thomas Professor Dave Brennan.
Disruptive innovations transform industries. They establish new ways of business, gain rapid acceptance, become wide-spread, and often dominate the industry in which they occur. They have the power to create new winners and losers. Six disruptive innovations in retailing will be examined: department stores, supermarkets, discounting, regional malls, category killers, and E-tailing.
This luncheon takes place Thursday, October 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the iconic Joseph's Grill in St. Paul.
In addition to the keynote speech by Brennan, MnRA will present the results of its annual "State of Minnesota Retail" poll, giving attendees an anecdotal look at the attitudes of retailers across the state as they relate to our economic outlook.
